WebbIt doesn’t matter IF the opening and valve for the thermo are centered in the disc, which yours should be. The air bleed/jiggle pin should be up if the disc is not oriented flat to the ground, but if it is flat to the ground, it doesn’t matter. I just replaced the thermostat on my truck. my chilton manual states that the jiggle valve should be at the 12 o'clock (up) position. When i removed the factory thermostat, the jiggle valve was at the 6 o'clock position (down) - this was the original factory installed thermostat.
