WebPhilosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence especially when considered as an academic discipline. Philosophy is also a set of views and theories of a particular philosopher concerning such study or an aspect of it. Philosophy comes from the Greek word ‘philosophia’ which means ‘our love of wisdom. WebSocrates was born c. 469/470 BCE to the sculptor Sophronicus and the mid-wife Phaenarete. He studied music, gymnastics, and grammar in his youth (the common subjects of study for a young Greek) and followed his father's profession as a sculptor.
